Undyed yak has a beautiful brownish-grey colour, which yields much richer tones when dyed. This is why colour ways look so different when dyed on the yak base. This is a single spun yarn which drapes beautifully and the slightly larger skeins means this base is perfect for a statement shawl. Due to the single spun nature of the yarn, I don’t recommend using it for socks.
All yarns are hand dyed by Verity in our smoke free, pet friendly home in Nottingham, England using professional dyes.
Skeins are hand dyed in batches, and some small differences may occur between them.
We recommend purchasing enough yarn to complete your project as future batches may not match.
To avoid any differences being noticeable in your projects, you should alternate between balls every couple of rows.
All items made with our yarns should be hand washed in cold water and dried flat. You may experience a small amount of colour bleeding on the first wash – this is normal.
Every attempt is made to ensure colours are displayed accurately in our photographs but subtle differences can occur between screens.
